Coronavirus (COVID-19) Notice

Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, and public health goal of reducing community spread, VIRCAN Clinics remain closed for in-person office visits. We will provide an update when we have Public Health guidance to resume usual practice. We are offering virtual care for our follow-up patients via telephone or videoconference at your regular scheduled time. Urgent new consultations MAY also be facilitated via videoconference, while non-urgent referrals will be rescheduled to a later date. Our administrative staff will reach out with further instruction.

Click here for detailed information regarding informed consent for virtual care.

We are taking guidance from our regulatory bodies and Public Health, and will reassess in coming days. We encourage all patients to follow widespread recommendations for social distancing, avoiding public gatherings and outings. Our patients over 70, and those with chronic conditions, such as liver cirrhosis, cardiac and respiratory disease, autoimmune diseases and anyone on immunosuppressive medications need to be particularly cautious.  Please use an abundance of caution with handwashing, and avoid touching your face to help minimize transmission.  All patients who have traveled outside Canada need to self-isolate for 14 days upon return.

Thank you for your understanding and compliance with Public Health recommendations.
